Events Not to Be Missed This Summer

This summer is rich in an array of incredible events not to be missed. From music and lobster festivals to family beach vacations the hottest events of the summer are sure to add bright impressions and guarantee tons of fun.

Jazz Age Lawn Party (Governors Island, NY)

Jazz Age Lawn Party

Forget your Gatsby fantasies when getting dressed for the Prohibition-style party at the Governors Island, New York. This is a great opportunity to dance and enjoy live music sipping your favorite cocktail, just not far from Manhattan (it will take you 10 minutes to get there by ferry). Jazz Age Lawn Party will take place in June 10-11 & August 26-27, 2017.

Maine Lobster Festival (Rockland, ME)

Any summer in New England would be incomplete without a lot of lobster, and at Rockland's annual festival there will be as many as 20,000 pounds of it! The event will last for 5 days during which the guests will be able to not only eat freshly caught lobster but also join a parade, see the "sea goddess" coronation and participate in the annual crate race (where they should run across lobster crates floating in the water). Maine Lobster Festival will be held August 2 - 6, 2017

Opera House Cup/Nantucket Race Week (Nantucket Island, MA)

If you love boating visiting the annual Opera House Cup is a must. This classic boat regatta has made Nantucket a sailing center on the East Coast. The regatta is followed by the awards party known as the "event of the season". The guests of the beach party usually treat themselves to oysters and Dark 'n' Stormy cocktails and dance to live music. Opera House Cup is scheduled to take place in Aug. 12-20, 2017.

If you're looking for a family friendly event, Cheyenne Frontier Days is just what you need. The largest outdoor rodeo in the world regularly features some of the best musicians of the country, such as Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert. Guests will be able to see a carnival, several parades, the US Air Force Thunderbirds, and more. Cheyenne Frontier Days will be on July 21-30, 2017.

Sonoma Wine Country Weekend (Sonoma, CA)

The last but not the least event of the summer 2017 is Sonoma Wine Country Weekend (Sept. 1-3, 2017), which is a popular Labor Day tradition. On Friday night the iconic Francis Ford Coppola Winery invites guests to relax poolside, dining and dancing outdoors. The night party will be followed by a Taste of Sonoma with about 60 local chefs and more than 200 wineries offering wine tours, expert pairings and a blind tasting at the historic MacMurray Estate Vineyards.
